Peyton Manigo, first year undergrad, @UmichLSA

“My time with @UmichAdaptiveSports has given me a lot of confidence and helped with my transition to college.

When I started playing, I was very shy, not really open about my disability. Now, I love educating people and welcoming them into our community. I think basketball is the cornerstone of adaptive sports; everyone tries it at least once. Even if you don’t stick with it, it’s kind of everyone’s starting point.

Our first game of the season was the Wolverine Invitational, and our very last game went into overtime and we were all tired. It was a late game and we were just, like, very supportive of each other.

We always keep going, even when we’re running out of steam. To me, this shows the strength and unity of our team.”
