Faith
"This shoot served as a tribute to both my identity and internal struggles with religion. Being raised in the Baptist church, I was expected to conform and embody the perfect Christian daughter. I often found myself questioning my beliefs and who I was. In my pursuit of truth, I would eventually leave the church and found myself resonating with other belief systems. It felt ironic having my given name, since I did not embrace Christianity as I was expected to. I came to understand my name as something bigger than just organized religion. “Faith” is a testament to my unwavering values, my curiosity and openness to all beliefs, and the love and confidence I carry within me."

"I am fighting a spiritual battle; torn between tradition and change. Not everything is black and white. What do I believe in? What is Truth? How can I begin to break out of my own mold? Redefining “Faith” will be a lifelong journey, but it is one I refuse to shy away from."
